Hot Aperol

Hot Aperol

The mulled wine season is over, but there is still so much winter left? For everyone who isn't ready for a cool drink when the snow and ice continue, we now have the solution: warm up your favorite summer drink! Aperol Spritz also works fantastically in a hot version: the Hot Aperol - with a cinnamon stick it becomes toasty and spicy.

Hot Aperol is a tart, fruity winter punch with alcohol that impresses with its bright orange color. To ensure that this (and the decoration made from orange slices and cinnamon sticks) is shown off well, serve the Hot Aperol in an elegant glass instead of in a cup. Our conclusion: Looks great, surprises the guests and works even without mixing expertise. Comes into the repertoire!

You need this:

  • 250 ml apple juice

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 300 ml dry white wine

  • 1 orange (flesh vegetarians use orange juice without pieces)

  • 150ml Aperol

It's that easy:

  1. Pour white wine into a saucepan and heat over medium heat (do not boil).

  2. Add apple juice and continue to heat.

  3. Pour in Aperol and the juice of half a squeezed orange (alternatively 50 ml of orange juice from the bottle). Stir.

  4. Divide between the glasses. Decorate with cinnamon sticks and orange slices.
